Buy Products to Care for your Butchers Block
Raw Linseed Oil
Your butchers block will need regular oiling to prevent cracking and moisture entering the butchers block.
This is essential to maintain the life of your butchers block; raw linseed oil is the best oil for this purpose, DO NOT USE BOILED LINSEED OIL.
Apply liberally with a paintbrush at least once a month.
Wood Filler
If small cracks appear on your block don’t worry as this is normal while the block adapts to the temperature and humidity of its location. This filler applied to the crack then sanded and re oiled will solve the problem.
I sell 100g packs as this is more than enough as once the block has settled this problem should cease. Regular oiling will prevent this recurring.
